Wood Destroying Insects (WDI) can cause extensive damage, including structural damage when conditions are right for these little pests. WDI's do not cause a lot of damage quickly but can go a very long time undetected resulting in costly repairs. A WDI inspection is usually included when we are performing a home inspection for you. During the WDI inspection, we will evaluate the home's exterior and interior components to identify any signs of wood destroying insect activity as well as conditions conducive to termites and other WDI. The inspection includes a physical and visual inspection, which includes inspecting, tapping, and probing susceptible wood.
